New Audition Procedures: Any director who has students participating in District auditions (both instrumental and vocal) must supply an appropriate number of PMEA members to help at the auditions. Specifically there must be one (1) director for every twenty (20) students that audition. If a school sends 1-20 students, 1 director is needed. If a school sends 21-40 students, 2 directors are needed, If a school send 41-60 students to audition, 3 directors are needed...and so on. Directors representing students MUST be PMEA members. All Directors MUST complete a new EXCEL
file for ALL auditioning students: In addition
to the hard copy of the application which is sent for all festivals
and fests (Elementary, Intermediate, and HIgh School), ALL
directors MUST complete the new EXCEL TEMPLATE for ALL the students
that will be auditioning/recommended for a festival. How to do it! Save the Exel file to your computer (right click over the link above) and save-as, re-naming it with the name of the festival and the name of your school (i.e. PMEA District 10 Chorus - Northwestern Lehigh HS.xls) and enter all required information. When it is complete, e-mail your file to the appropriate person. Vocal templates for October vocal auditions should be sent to Peter Sunderman (via email), and instrumental templates for December auditions should be sent to Rick Hilborn (via email). All Elementary and Intermediate FEST templates should be sent directly to the festival host. Festival Cancellation notice: Any FESTS that do not have a host by SEPTEMBER 30 each year will NOT BE HELD for that school year.
